Exposition 2 setting
SETTING: Aech, Indonesia (Malaboh and Ie Mameh towns in Aech. ) -
Exposition 3 Characters
CHARACTERS: Ruslan, a young teenaged artistic boy Sarah, another young teenage loving girl Petter,a young very sensitive boy, Ruslan's father, Sarah's tough parents, and Surf Cat (Petter and Sarah's pet cat ) aloving and smart pet to have. -
Exposition 1 background
Ruslan an Indonesian boy works at a coffee shop in Aech Indonesia, he has no sibilings his mother died when he was young and his father is a mechanic. So because of his job he is not home all the time. Sarah a Western girl from the US is taking a trip on her boat but it breaks down in Aech. Sarah has a mother, a father, a brother named Petter, and a pet cat. -
Rising action 1
While Sarah's family is looking for a mechanic to fix their boat, they stop at the coffee shop were Ruslan works for some "cold cokes".Sarah and Ruslan meet for the first time. Ruslan notices how Sarah argues so much with her mother and wonders what it would be like if he had a mother ? -
Rising Action 2 (conflict)
Sarah and her family notice how all of a suden how far the water has pulled back, and they know whats coming for them.So they start to run for the inland as they run Sarahs father breaks his leg! Her mother tells her to take Petter and run (mom stays.) They get as far to a hill then a huge Tusnami hits and comes crashing down! Sarah is able to grab onto a vine but petter isn't able to reach her hand and gets sucked under by a wirlpool. -
Rising Action 3
Ruslan survived on the roof top of a store and is infering his father is still alive but has no clue where he is or might be? Sarah got down safely and ran back to the beach to look for Petter but she finds someone else her mother. She runs up to her and tries speaking to her but no answer...she turns her around to notice she is caught in a fish net and, that she is dead, she cuts her out and roles her off the dune and burries her. But feels nothing..no feeling or emotion at all. -
Rising Action 4
Ruslan runs over to the port and asks a sailor about his father and said "Thier all dead." Ruslan feels a deep pain in his stomach, but also feels a sharp little object poking his chest it was the note his father left him it said he was in Ie Mameh visiting Ruslan's mothers relatives. Right after Sarah finished burring her mother Surf Cat comes out of the bushes and starts meowing, Sarah follows him and leads her straight to Petter. -
Rising Action 5
Sarah takes Petter to a nearby cave for them both to rest. Sarah hears her dads voice in the back of her head telling her that Petter is sick and needs proper medical treatment that there is a hospital inland .So now she must travel in the forest at dark with only a lighter for protection. Meanwhile Ruslan must travel to Ie Mameh to make certin his father is oka. In order to do so he must travel through logging and oil camps also through Rebel, lands all very dangerous. -
Rising Action 6
Ruslan gets caught by Rebels, but Ruslan knows he has to find his father so he is planning an escape. At the inland town they have no medical supplies for Petter ,but they do at Ie Mameh. So Sarah finds a boat and they start sailing for Ie Mameh. After while they're sailing they see an Achenesse woman stranded on a piece of drift wood. So they rescue her and find out her name is Ayish. -
Falling action 1
Ruslan decides to go on with Sarah and Petter because he knows they need more help than his father would. With them not knowing the land and having Petter sick with them. So they decide to travel to a village were some medical help would be provided for Petter. As he grows more and more ill everyday. -
Climax
Ruslan sneaks away from the Rebels and comes to an island in the opposite direction of Ie Mameh! Sarah and Peter decide go to shore but before they can get off a big Tidel wave comes and swollows their boat! Ruslan is at the same place they are, he runs out to help. Sarah says "Thank You." After they recognize each other. -
Falling Action 2
Since Ruslan has been just sitting around for a couple of days now. One of the Rescue team men puts Ruslan to work. His job is to collect all the dead bodies so that it prevents spreading diesease. While he is out collecting the man says "And remember to look in all the car trunks too." So Ruslan says "oka no problem." Until he sees his father's car he approaches it the other man opens it but there is nothing in it. -
Falling Action 3
In the medical tent all they have thats availible for Petter is a half an Asprin which makes Sarah so angry she promptly yells at the nurse and says. " You call this medicine! My brother needs antibiotics for Gods Sakes! Wheres the Doctor I need a Doctor!" The nurse repiles " The doctor will not be in until tomarrow he has worked 78 hours straight just like the rest of us and needs his rest! So if you want MEDICINE! You better walk." -
Falling Action 4
Finally Sarah is able to talk to the doctor about Petter and after she's done he says. "We have no medicine no, but we can pray." Sarah is outraged at the fact and says "So we waited 3 days for nothing!" The doctor gets affended and leaves. -
Falling Action 5
Ruslan runs and runs and runs to catch up to the truck over throws the driver! Stops, dumps out the dead bodies, looks for the man he finds him and is relived it's not his father. Then he grabs Sarah and Petter and they start embarking on again to find Petter medical help and both fathers. -
Resolution 1
Ruslan, Sarah, and Petter come to a village town where a helicopter is bringing emergancy supplies. They ask the helicopter piolot if they can get a lift back to Malaboh he says "yes." and they all hop in. Ruslan draws a picture of his dad to show commoners when he gets off. -
Resolution 2
When they arrive Sarah gets surrounded by reporters, interviewers, and loads of poparatzi! She can't even see with all the camera flashes in her face while she is carring Petter, and starts screaming for help. Then to her rescue comes a U.S Marine named officer Hertzig. To take her to the boat to take care of her and get help for Petter. -
Resolution 3
After a month Peter is finally fully recoverd. Sarah is now ready to hold a press conferince giveing a speech on her side of the story. Ruslan finaly gets reunited with his father, but Sarahs father is still to be found. Ruslan takes Sarah back to his old house. They go up to his room and Sarah asks if she can have him draw a picture of her father, for good luck. Sarah instead sees her mother and all the love she ever had for her. Then all the waters of grief come rushing inside her.
