    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ [The movie was detailed and had some funny and entertaining parts.]

    12 Years a Slave
    EVENT: After 12 years of slavery Solomon was finally reunited with his family.
    FACT CHECK: The real Solomon Northup was tricked and sold into slavery in 1841 and did not regain his freedom until 1853 as the movie depicted.
    CONNECTION: Slavery is still a problem in some countries around the world.
    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ The movie made me kind of sad due to all the abuse it showed to the slaves. But other then that the movie was good.

    FACT CHECK: In the movie it said that 2/3 of the house need to vote yes for something to go through, that is a true scenario.
    CONNECTION: There are still wars fought between different parts of a country, for example there is a Syrian Civil War going on.
    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I rate the movie 4 stars, it was an interesting way to learn about how the Civil War was ended.

    Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure
    The purpose of this movie was to show the class what this semester will be like. I connect to this movie because history is a bad subject in school for me too. And the facts are quite accurate, other then the time traveling. They made references to many famous people of history, like Billy the kid
    when they went back to 1879 to get him, https://www.history.com/news/9-things-you-may-not-know-about-billy-the-kid
    and used a few song references. I rate the movie a 4 out of 5 stars.

    CONNECTION: Lots of people today are still immigrating to America to create a better life for themselves.
    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ The movie was interesting and i enjoyed watching it.

    CONNECTION: We still have major wars today.
    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I couldn't hear it that well, and i thought there would be more action for it being a war movie.

    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ It was interesting to see how people viewed the war

    FACT CHECK: In the movie his name was Cecil Gaines but in real life his name was Eugene Allen.
    CONNECTION: There are still butlers woking in the white house.
    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ It was interesting to see how the butlers work.

    FACT CHECK: In the movie it shows Mandela getting married 2 times, but after prison he was married again.
    CONNECTION: There is still racial inequality around the world today.
    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ The movie was informational but it didn't make me want to keep watching it

    CONNECTION: Today African-Americans can still vote.
    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I like how it showed everyone coming together to fight for one thing.

    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I thought the movie was a good depiction of how it was for the POW
