This act established the three stages of education and was called the Tripartite System.This act included compulsary and free education to the age of 15 and after that there was the option of free education up the age of 18 for anybody that would want it.

Local educational authoriies were now unable to authorise school placements this was replaced by an open enrolment policy.the schools took the bums on seats approach because they were getting payed per child to have them in school.According to the number of students enrolled made a difference to funding.The more the better.

The 1st day at Banners Gate Primary school Sutton Coldfiled.Big day new school and uniform.Very nervous and was the start of a very long education which i didnt realise at the time all those years ago.

New Labour took over from 1997 Until the present day.When elcted promised no increase in University tuition fees then the fees tripled in 2006 for students.Aswell as other education issues not addressed from the election.

The school leaving age has been altered so by 2013 the compulsary school leaving age will be 18 although this doesnt mean just in the classroom ,this can be by continueing education through training schemes/acedemic learning
