    Troy
    Odysseus came up with the idea of the Trojan Horse that lead the Greeks to win the war, He then started on his journey home to Ithaca.
  • Cicones

    Cicones
    After leaving Troy, Odysseus and his men incountered the Cicones, the allies of the Trojans. Odysseus and his crew raid and kill a lot of the Cicones but the Cicones retaliate and kill 72 of Odysseus' men.
  • Lotus eaters

    Lotus eaters
    The men go out to see the island, eat the lotus plant, then it makes them never want to return home. Odysseus then ties the men affected by the lotus to the ship and forces them to leave the island.
  • The cyclops

    The cyclops
    After being held captive in Polythemus' cave (A giant bolder blocked the entrance) Odysseus decides to stab laestrygones in his eye so he cannnot see. While the cyclops is blinded Odysseus and his men escape by tieing themselves under Polythemus' sheep.

    Aeolus
    After the encounter with Leastrygones Odysseus and his men go to the island of Aeolus, the wind king. After being there for a month Aeolus gives Odysseus two gifts, a good west wind to help him home and a bag holding all the bad winds.
  • Ithaca

    When the are insight of Ithaca Odyssues is asleep and his curious men open the bag of bad winds, thinking it contains gold and silver, and the winds blow them back to Aeolus' island.
  • Aeaea Circe

    Aeaea Circe
    The men then sail to the home of The Witch Circe. They come to an open field with a small stone cottage and calm mountian lions and wolves covering the lawn. All men entered her home except Eurylochus, who had a bad feeling about Circe. Circe then turned the men into Pigs, which Eurylochus saw and reports it to Odysseus. Odysseus saves the men by eating moly to protect him from Circes power. Circe then turns the men back and says before the return home they must visit the land of the dead.

    This is the first time we see Odysseus scared. He came across his deceased soldier and promised him a burial. Odysseus also meets the prince of Thebes and his mother who died from a broken heart.

    Odysseus returns to Circe's island and he and his men rest. She then takes Odysseus aside and tells him what's to come and gives him her warning. She warns him of the sirens and how to deal with them,also of Scylla and Chrybdis.

    Sirens, Scylla, Charybdis
    Circe tells Odysseus to put molded bees wax in his men ears so the won't be tempted by the sirens. Circe also warns Odysseus that Scylla will kill 6 of his men but the other optio is Chrybdis who will sink his ship. So Odysseus and his men make it through the sirens but, as predicted, loose 6 men to Scylla.

    Circe told Odysseus not to let his men eat Helios' cattle so Odysseus tries to convince his men to pass by the island but they want to land, so he warns them not to eat the cattle but the were so hungry tht they ignored the order and feasted on the cattle. This made Helios very angry. So to calm Helios down Zues sends a lightning bolt down to sink Osysseus' ship. Odysseus is the only survivor.

    Odysseus stays on Calypso's island for 7 years. Zues send Hermes to have Calypso release him. Together Odysseus and Calypso build a raft for which Odysseus uses to sail home.

    King Alcinous throws a banquet in honor of Odysseus.King Alcinous wants Odysseus to tell him who he is and what he has been through. Then Odysseus teels the King of his adventures.. After =ward the King gives Odysseus a ship and men to asure his homecoming.

    Penelope who has lost hope of Odysseus' homecoming, holds a contest for her heart. An old man (Odysseus in disguise) enters the contest. The suitors think the nothing of the man but he strings the bow and dominates the game.
  • The battle for Penelope's heart

    The battle for Penelope's heart
    The suitors and Odysseus, with the help of Telemachus, fight the suitors. wuth the help of Athena Odysseus kills or scares all the suitors as himself. Penelope doesn't believe this man is Odysseus and tests him about the bed he built which cannot be moved. He knows the truth and he and Peelope live happily ever after.
