Sugar Act of 1765 was the beggining of many taxes put on the American Colonies. It was put on goods that the colonist used most such as paper and playing cards. It was called the Stamp Act because once you but your product there was a stamp put on it. It was later repeled in the year 1765 mostly because it was not inforced alot and it caused black markets to florish in the colonies.
