21st Century Classrooms

  • Determine the need to update HBCSD Classrooms

  • Pass Measure Q for necessary funding

    The HBCSD Community came together to educate our community the need to update our classrooms and provide for our schools the tools to move toward 21st Century classrooms.
  • Planning Meetings begin to develop concepts for different classrooms

    HBCSD worked with BCA architects and OnPoint and then met with teachers to discuss needs and desires
  • Build the Classrooms

  • Develop Rubric to evaluate demonstration classrooms

  • Allow all teachers access to demonstration classrooms and gather rubric feedback

    Principals will develop a schedule to allow all teachers access to the demonstration classroom to deliver a lesson. Teachers will complete the rubric as to the room usage and effectiveness of tools
  • During the School Year hold multiple Open House events in the Demonstration Classrooms for community

    HBCSD will hold multiple events where parents are invited into the demonstration classrooms and participate in a lesson. Parents will complete the rubric tool.
  • Site Committees will evaluate feedback from parents and teachers

    Each Site Committee will determine the tools that will be included in the classrooms at their site
  • Complete all 21st Century Classrooms

    Each school will have their classrooms updated according to the Measure Q Bond construction schedule between 2018 - 2020
