God commanded Abraham to sacrifice Isaac to ensure that he is obedient. Abraham doesn't refuse, but God sends angels to stop him last second.
God continues to advance his mission by allowing us to feel his presence. Those who are in contact with God start to reflect his goodness and have a better outlook on life. He is trying to get more people to believe in God. I feel like God is doing this to gradually prepare Jesus coming back to Earth. -

God also said to him, "I am God Almighty; Be fruitful and multiply; A nation and a company of nations shall come from you, And kings shall come forth from you.
This connects the new testament, Jesus Birth because Jesus is a descendant of Jacob. Jesus became known as a king (Christian view), which was predicted earlier by God "And kings shall come forth from you." -

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28
I think this verse connects very well with the old testament because God has chosen lots of people in the OT, and pursued them throughout their lives. He always brought those who were obedient to him in the OT, and blessed them/made them great. -
Paul visits the church of Galatia and goes to brethren to speak to some Christians. Paul stays in Ephesus for 3 years, and wrote the book of Corinthians, and met the 12 baptized disciples who still didn't receive the holy spirit. He also preaches in the synagogue

“Do not be afraid, Abram.
I am your shield,
your very great reward.”
This verse mentions that God will stay with us and protect us from all evil. This is reflected in my life once when I return from Japan. Right when I land my flight from Japan in Hong Kong with my family, I hear that an Earthquake is happening in Japan. This reflects my personal life because I feel like God protected me here, and was my great reward. God protects those who believe in him. -
"May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and multiply you"
Genesis 28:3-4
This was when I got into my badminton district team (Sha Tin). This verse really reflects me because, at the time, it was when I started to discover what my talents were. I felt like God was blessing me with gifts and talents, and making me fruitful. It's like he was starting to grow within me, and I had to use my talents to glorify him.
