They did this because they really did not want to be involved in the war and thought that there is no reason why they should be involved in the war. Also, when Germany attacked the capital of France, Paris from both sides, France fell. This event is significant becuase France surrenders by signing an armistice. It was signed in the exact same train as the train that people signed in World War 1. This shows and proves how Hitler wanted world war 1 to have ended. Moreover, this left Britain to fight alone.

Radio waves could detect aircrafts and indicate distance and with regular transmissions, find speed and height of any approaching aircrafts. Hitler caused massive damage to london but quit after some time because of the ammount of aircraft he had lost due to the british shooting them down.

Consequently, the US was forced out of Neutrality and onto the side of the Allies. This was extremely important, because now one of the most powerful nations had entered the war.

This is important because in a short amount of time, Japan took over a lot of countries. This is similar to Hitler taking over a lot of the countries in a short period of time.
