San Francisco Earthquake
Picture A photo of a damaged house in Howard Street. The San Francisco earthquake happened on the 18th of April 1906. The depth was 8 kilometers and more than 3000 people died. The magnitude was 7.8 which made it even worse because there were tsunamis. -
Sinking og the Titanic
Picture A photo of the Titanic The Titanic was a ship said to be unsinkable. However it sunk by colliding with an iceberg in the Altantic Ocean. It took around 3 hours to sink. Between 1490 and 1635 died during the tragic event. -

Picture This is a photo of Ghandi at the end of his Salt March. The Salt March happened on the 12th of March 1930. During the march thousands of Indians followed Ghandi. They walked for 240 miles to protest against the British rules in India. Nearly 60,000 people were arrested including Ghandi at the end of the Salt March. -

First Man on the Moon

Chernobyl - A photo of the nuclear powerplants. On April 26th 1986, 1.23a.m there was a huge nuclear powerplant explosion in Chernobyl,Ukraine. It released more than 100 times the radiation of the bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. 31 people died shortly after the explosion and thousands had long term effect of radiation. -
Hong Kong International Airport Opening
Picture - A photo of HKIA Hong Kong International Airport Opened on the 6th of July 1998. It wasn't the first airport in Hong Kong, Kai Tak Airport was. They had to make a new one because of the capacity in Kai Tak and there was only one runway. Also Kai Tak was located near a very busy place which made alot of noises. Therefore HK International Airport had to be made in a not so busy place.
