    NY Times v. Sullivan brought freedom of the press. Loving v. Virginia was a court case where it stuck a law banning interracial marriage. Miranda v. Arizona made it so that when you get arrested you must be read your Miranda rights.

    The Cuban Missile Crisis was a tense 13-14 days where nobody knew if this day is when nuclear war was going to occur. The Soviet Union was putting missiles in Cuba which was very close to the United States and nobody knew if a war was close to breaking point.

    This was one of the most famous speeches of Martin Luther King Jr. & has brought many to live in harmony with colored and white people & this speech lives on today.
  • The Assassination of John F. Kennedy

    This was a sad event that occurred during the 1960s but it also brought great awareness towards what he was fighting for which was fighting for equal rights as well as the Vietnam War.

    This eliminated segregation & bias voting requirements. Overall this act brought many people closert together and shaped the country as we know.

    These two assassinations left their organization in chaos and they weren't able to recoup and reorganize themselaves as to the point when they had their leaders there.

    This act brought reform to the way people voted, this gave the power to oversee the voting to the federal government in places that discrimination was practiced.

    The Tet Offensive

    The Tet Offensive was an attack that North Vietnam did against the South & the United States during a day that everyone agreed to do a truce. So this brought the US to fight back a bit more before they left the Vietnam War.

    After a long time of competing against the Soviet Union to achieve space flight capability, the United States was able to send two men to land on the moon. This was significatn and importatnt because it braught a new era of technology and exploration.
