Like the Korean War, North Vietnam supported Communism (and was backed by China and the USSR), and South Korea desired democracy (and was backed by the anti-Communist allies). The war ended with the North in control of the government, leading the country to Communism.

    The Berlin wall was built by Russian-controlled east Germany. The wall physically separated the Russian quadrant of Berlin from the rest of the capital city. The wall stood for 28 years.
