source French tried to support soldiers at Dien Bien Phu, they tried to cut of Viet Minh supply lines that went into Laos. The battle ended with the Viet Minh slowly shrinking the French Defenses. The War ended shortly after. (sorry about no pictures, this website is not the best to say it nicely...)
