Germany startted attacking American passenger ships because they could not trust them to not be smuggling war equeptiment. The attacks, along with the information that the Germans planed to have Mexico attack the U.S., angered the American people. This is what pushed the U.S. into World War I. -

Black Tuesday
Durring the start of what was to be known as the Great Depression, the American economy was slowly crashing down. The stock market was fine, but wealth was not being distributed equaly and meany people struggled with their credit. Then on October 29of 1929, investers sold off 16 million shares with only a few people willing to buy. This massive stocket crash ruined many invesements along with Banks. The crash would soon be know through the country. -
