    She was born in Florence, Italy. She just grew an interest in nursing. Her parents were very wealthy and they did not let her train for nursing because they thought nursing is not fit for a woman in her class and background.They wanted her to be like a normal upper class woman who would marry
    and live a happy life with her family.

    She really wanted accomplish her goals in life so she worked hard and learned different languages and went to far away schools. But first her dream to be a physician began when she met Elizabeth Blackwell, the first female physician in America. She was also tutored under Elizabeth Blackwell in college. Even though medical jobs were not allowing females to join, she went to men's classes and learned.

    In 1851 after lots of struggles her parents let her and she went to a three month training for nursing. After that she started working at a women's hospital as their superintendent. Then the Crimean war began and there were too many casualties as a result of the lack of medical treatment. So a war official knew nightingale and told her to gather a few other medical
    attendants and come to a military hospital in turkey. The rate of casualties decreased gradually as a result of her.

    Paul Ehrlich
    Ehrlich was a German physician and scientist who invented the precursor method to Gram staining bacteria, tissue thats makes it possible to distinguish between different types of blood cells, leading to the capablity to diagnose many blood diseases. He also discovered the first effective medical treatment for syphillis, therefore initiating and naming the concept of chemotherapy. In 1908 he recieved a nobel prize for his contributions to immunizations.

    She went back to England and in 1860 she began a nursing school for nurses in London.The nurses that were trained in her school were sent all over Britain to showcase the nightingale nursing skills and the nightingale idea on nursing.
    Notes on nursing was published in 1860 by nightingale which held so much of nightingale's ideas and needs in nursing. These ideas of nightingale are still used today by nurses all around the world. Our industry of nursing has evolved so much because of her.

    helped that her father was a successful businessman but still the
    opportunity for females in the medical field were limited. Her
    struggles to achieving her dream ended when she graduated. She also helped find a medical school for girls. She became in charge for the medical school. The amazing part was that she was the first female physician in Britain in 1870. She also became the first female mayor in England.

I bet now there are as many women as men in the health career field and she also made many girls dreams come true with a school for females.
