  • Proclamation of 1763

    This marks the end of the French and Indian war.
  • Sugar Act

    The sugar act put a tax on a large variety of sweets and luxuries.
  • Quartering Act

    this act allowed for british soldiers to be housed in colonial homes and or barracks.
  • Stamp Act

    The stamp act required every legal document to bear a revenue stamp. This act also raised the tax on these documents causing many to despise the British.

    This act allowed Britain to tax the colonies to a greater extent.
  • Townshend Act

    it taxed all of the goods and materials imported to the American colonies.
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre was a battle between a group of colonial rebels and several British soldiers.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The Boston tea party was an event where a group of men got together and snuck onto a British transport to dump tea off of the boat. So the British didn't think it was a rebellion, they dressed up as native americans.
  • Intolerable Acts

    these acts were used to punish the colonists in Massachusetts for the Tea Party protest.
