  • French and Indian War

    The French and Indian War was held in North American, it was part of a larger war between Great Britain and France known as the Seven Years' War. The war was successful for Great Britain gaining them more territory in North America. However it led to further problems beginning the American Revolution.
  • Treaty of Paris ends Seven Years War

    In 1763 the Treaty of Paris ended the American Revolution stopping Great Britain, North America and all support from both countries. The treaty gave the British, Canada from France and Florida from Spain, however it let France keep its West Indian sugar islands and gave Louisiana to Spain. It stopped all the war between the countries and strengthened the American colonies greatly.
  • Captain James Cook lands in Botany Bay

    Captain James Cook is famous in Australia for being the first European to have contact with the eastern coastline of Australia. He lived from the 7th of November 1728 to the 14th of February 1779 he was a British explorer, cartographer and also navigator. In 1770 Cook arrived by boat in Botany Bay in Sydney.
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre was a fight that took place on March 5th 1770, between a mob who were throwing anything they could find and a squad of British soldiers. 5 people were killed and 6 people were injured. The Massacre was an event that led to the Revolutionary War.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party was an event that also had in impact on the beginning of the American Revolution. Three tea ships arrived at Boston on December the 16 1773, which made the people agitated causing the 7000 locals to dress up as Indians and riot by throwing tea at the ships. The event was resolved by the tea ships leaving the harbor without payment.
  • American Revolution Begins

    The American Revolution was a political disruption during the late 18th century. Thirteen colonies of North America joined together to isolate themselves from the British Empire, combining to become the United States of America. The British responded, however the Americans managed to fight back in response, this event is known as the American Revolutionary War.

    The Declaration of Independence was an important event in American history, it provided people with the rights to be equal with everybody else and it helped shaped the USA into a community. It helped the people to live their life in any way they chose. This event impacted the world by giving North America freedom, and also giving an example for other countries or even individuals to fight for their freedom.

    America gained independence from England after the American Revolution; they declared their new independence on July 4, 1776. As a separate country they created armies that were to be commanded by General George Washington and they made a military alliance with France. The United States of America also managed to capture the two main British armies.

    The Industrial Revolution was a period in time that majorly changed the ways the world was affecting the way that agriculture, manufacturing, mining, transportation, and technology worked and also reducing the amount of manpower needed to accomplish these tasks. It also had a large effect on the social, economic, and cultural ways of that time. With not as much people needed more people began to move into the citys.

    The War of 1812 was a war that was obviously held in the year 1812. America, Great Britain and France were fighting again. America was a part of it as they were not happy with the British. The British wouldn't allow any trade between France and the U.S. beginning a whole new war between these nations.
  • New Holland changed name to Australia

    This moment was a very significant event in Australia’s history, in 1817; the Governor of New South Wales recommended that New Holland should change its name to Australia. So after 7 years, in 1824, New Holland had officially changed its name to Australia. The reason Australia was the chosen name was that it was the name Matthew Flinders used to call New South Wales.

    The Typographer was a mechanical or electromechanical device with keys that when pressed, result in characters to be printed on a piece of paper. The typographer was an important time in history because it reduced the amount of man power needed to write something. Latter in history the typographer was out-dated by the computer.
  • Invention of the Morse Code

    Morse code was a series of on and off sounds, lights, or clicks that can be understood by a skilled listener without needing any special equipment. It introduced an easy subtle way to communicate with someone from a distance, and it is still used today and has been built into most walkie talkies.
  • Adolf Hitler was born

    Adolf Hitler was born, this date led to many future problems for Jews mainly, but also the rest of the world. Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazi party was the reason for World War 2. Hitler was also was the murderer of approximately 6 million Jews, this event was named the Holocaust..
  • Invention of Alkaline Battery

    Thomas Alva Edison invented the Alkaline Battery on the 31st of July 1906. The Alkaline batteries are a type of battery that depends on the reaction between Zinc and Manganese Dioxide to create energy. The alkaline battery is still used today to power small electrical devises.
  • World War 1 begins

    WWI began when Britain and Germany went to war in August 1914. On the 25th of April 1915 Australia’s forces landed in Gallipoli with troops from New Zealand, Britain and France these troops acted as a decoy for the U.S to win the war which was a very significant time in Australia’s history. 146809 men enlisted, 60,000 men died and 156,000 men were wounded.
  • America Enters the war

    America got a message that wasn’t supposed to be delivered to them but was meant to be given to Mexico. United States reading this decided it was time to help out Britain, so they declared war on Germany, entering the First World War, and maybe turning the tide and winning the war.
  • Takeover of Vladimir Lenin

    Vladimir Illych Ulyanov led the Russian communists to power for the first time in November 1917; this resulted in Russia having the first communist government in the world. Lenin was born in 1870 into a well off family. In 1887 his brother, alexander was arrested for planning to kill the Russian monarch and was hanged for it, it’s said that this was the reason Lenin felt that he needed to change the system that was responsible for the death of his brother.
  • WW1 ends

    All around the world people were grieving for the loss of so many men, and women. And many Germans that were living in Australia were sent to internment camps under suspicion. When the war ended, thousands of men, many injured with either physical or emotional pain, had to put into a special community to solve their problems and help them back into their normal life.
