The Albany Plan of Union was a plan in place to make the British North American colonies under a more centralized government. Benjamin Franklin suggested this plan to be united however the British Parliament rejected the idea. Britain did not want the colonies to be able to be unified against them.

The massacre started with the people harassing the British soldiers verbally and physically. Due to this the soldiers thought they heard their commander say fire so they shot among the crowd and killed three people. This brought the revolution and many rebellions against the British.

Thomas Paine released Common Sense in 1776 to try and enlighten people on how bad Britain was. His writing made a very clear case for independence and how Britain was responsible for all the problems in America. This caused many people to rebel and go against Great Britain.
