ImagineIT Spring Timeline

  • February

Create plan for Chemistry, including 2 major topics (energy and human body), and several mini-topics which will serve to teach the more detailed concepts in chemistry. The overarching topics will help students see the real, current application of the chemistry and how they can make a difference on a global level and a personal level.
  • March

Begin contacting necessary professionals for some mini-topics.
Begin implementing the planned units, including journal entries on student interest in the topics (to help drive selections for new topics) and understanding of connection of new content to old content.
  • April

Follow up on communication with professionals, have them come in, and have students share ideas/projects and get feedback from professionals.
  • May/June

Wrap up Energy overarching topic and begin Human body/health topic to prepare students for their junior year Biology course. Ensure a smooth transition from energy topic to human body(calories in food) and follow same path with mini topics and input from field professionals.
