    Federal fleet commander is David G. farragut captures New Orleans.

  • South Wins Again.

    South wins the battle,and it victourious at the second battle against Manassas.

  • Issues proclamation.

    Lincoln issues the emancipation, Proclamation, which declares that slaves suceded states are now free states.

  • Wilderness Battle.

    Battle of Wilderness in Virginia, the first bloody series of month-long engagements, between Grant and Lee.

  • Lincoln's Second Term.

    Lincoln is inaugurated as president for a second term.

  • Andrew Jackson Comes Up.

    Lincoln dies and then Andrew jackson is inaugurated as president. Takes Lincolns spot.

  • Davis Captured.

    Jefferson Davis is captured and taken prisoner near Irwinville, Georgia.
