Caldera E-mailed the coach of every team in the league. His first response was from the all Japanese team Shogun Wind and, as he says, "the rest is history." At that point he was the only Hispanic player. -
Yoshi Saka joins team
Yoshi Saka joined the team in 2007 after responding to a message that was posted at a Japanese market. -
Diego and Dan Caldera join
Having heard good things about the team from their brother Dave, Diego and Dan Caldera joined the team. This gave them three Hispanic players, still far fewere than any other team on the league. -
Dave gets suspended
Dave is suspended for punching a player after the player falls on him while trying to score. He is suspended for a month and fined $50. -
Saka becomes captian
The teams previous captian moves back to Japan and Yoshi Saka takes over. -
3-0 loss to Guanajuato
In a game that was close until the final minutes, Shogun lost to Guanajuato in the two teams' final indoor matchup of the year. -
Shima Mura returns to Japan
Shima Mura lived in Chicago and played for Shogun for the last few years. He has been transferred back to Japan for work. He thinks the economy has something to do with it. -
Outdoor begins
In April Shogun Wind will have completed their winter indoor league and will begin the outdoor season.
