    The French and Indian War
    The French and Indian War was the war that decided which country, France, a little bit of Spain and Native Americans, and England, would contain control of the new found land, North America. The three European countries are all smaller than a lot of other countries and wanted the great space that was unclaimed. This war was very important to the countries. Eventually England won.
  • The Proclamation

    The Proclamation
    The Proclamation was an act that forbade the colonists from going west of the Appalachian Mountains for Native Americans could hurt them. This unerved the colonists because they did not ask for the British soldiers to protect them. They felt they could handle themselves.
  • The Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act was when an act that reduced taxes on the Molasses Act. This meant less to pay on foreign goods. This was an act that actually pleased the colonists.
  • The Currency Act

    The Currency Act
    The Currency Act was when the colonists had a shortage of money. Although they did not know it yet they would soon have to pay for the British Soldiers, too. With a shortage of money and a new country they needed more money to live life.
  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act was when the colonists were forced to pay taxes on stamped goods. The colonists thought it was unfair and called it "Taxation without Representation". This was an Intolerable Act.

    The Quartering Act was when the British Soldiers forced the colonists to provide them with food, shelter, and supplies. The colonists got really mad at this for the colonists did not ask for protection. This was an Intolerable Act.

    The Boston Massacre was supposed to be a peaceful street fight, more of a protest, but five colonists were killed because the British Soldiers thought they heard orders to fire.The colonists were very mad about this because it could have been themself.

    The Tea Act was an act that only allowed to buy tea from the British East India Company. The colonists id not agree with this act for the British East India Company had high taxes and they didn't like not having a say in government. Also, they thought it was not right to be forced to buy their tea at one company, not much of a variety.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party was when colonists reacted to having to buy tea from the British East india Company. They dressed up as Native Americans and threw hundreds of boxes full of tea herbs in the water. Unfortunately, the colonists broke the captain's lock, an innocent soul, the deliverer, and exposed who was responsible.

    The Intolerable Acts
    The Intolerable Acts were several acts that were made to punish the colonists for The Boston Tea Party. The colonists were unhappy with this decision and the tension between the distant lands really heated up. The colonists were only giving back what they received. Not even actually, for they received much worse than what they gave.
