The siginificance of the Petition of Rights was that it was the first written document that limited the power of the king. It allowed citizens to live more freely without the worry of being imprisoned. It also gave the citizens more rights. -

The siginificance of the English Bill of Rights was that is the first constitution for England. It gve rights to the citizens. -
Proclamation of 1763
The siginificance of this document was that after the French-Indian war there was more territory for the colonists. The king closed that expansion to the frontier. It gave the Native Americans more land. -
Sugar Act
The siginificance of the sugar act was to tax molasses from foreign countries and to put tax on other foreign goods. It made the colonists start buying goods from Great Britian. -
Stamp Act
The significance of the Stamp Act was that it taxed the colonists for using stamps. Which made the colonists stop using stamps which meant less money for the king. It started to the colonists to rebel against Great Britan and the king. -
Boston Tea Party
The siginicance of the Boston Tea Party was that it got the colonists to rebel against the king and also it got rid of 342 chests of tea. -
First Continental Congress
This was the first congress held in the United States. Delegates from 12 of the 13 colonies showed up. Georgia was the exception. They met to sought to right the wrongs and get a hearing in London in front of the king. -
First shots fired at Lexington and Concord
This was the beginning of the Revolutionary War and the colonists fight for freedom. Great Britian sent 700 troops to destroy guns and ammunitions the colonists had stored. They also planned to arrest Samuel Adams and John Hancock. -
Second Continental Congress
The significance of the Second Continental Congress was that it helped with the Revolutionary War. It financed them and it also started to from a government for the colonists. -
The Declartion of Indepence
The Declartion of Indepence was a very important document. It was written by Thomas Jefferson. It was the very first document that broke away from the kings power. It was also very dangerous because if the U.S lost the war then all the people who signed the Document would executed for treason.
