    The 18th amendment called for all alchol sales to be haulted throught the United States, The governments stance on the new amendment was, however, very light as the only sent out around 2000 officers to enforce the new regulations. This allowed things like organized crime and mobsters to Rise and gain control of entire cities, much like Al Capone in Chicago. The Amendment was eveuntally repieled

    The Red Scare was a peroid after WWI when Russia turned to Communism, the US began to fear communism, far left wing, and anarchistists, just as quicky as it began it was over

    Allowed The government to pass the 18th amendment, it allowed the states and government the right to cease sale, production, distribution, and consumption, of any alcholic beverages. The act allowed organized crime to rise and a high percentage of the citizens to start to use places like "speakeasies" to get their blackmarked boos.

    Teacher John Scopes, a small town teacher from Dayton, Tennesse, decided to teach the students of his class the theory of Evoultion by charles Darwin. This was in violation of the Butler Act which outlawed such teachings. He was represented by Clarence Darrow, and was percicuted by william Jennings Bryant. Scopes was found guilty but was let off on a technicality, because of the intence Media coverage, the teaching of evoultion became a want for most classrooms

Charles Lindenbergh crosed the atlantic by himsef, the first person to accomplish the feat and he was an American flyer. This event really created the concept of the Celebrity and is one of the first glorified, National American heros. He also was born in you guessed it Detroit.
