    The film strip went obsolete in the year approximately 1980's because people could start using TV's and phones to play movies.

    The Polaroid started becoming obsolete in the year 2008. This is happening because everyone is now using there phones to take pictures and don't need Polaroid's anymore.

Same with paper maps people stopped using them to go to a GPS.Now the maps and GPS are both obsolete. You may see a couple of people using them but I doubt it.
