  • The Holocaust (Concentration Camps)

Hitler and the Nazis came up with a plan called "FINAL SOLUTION". They planned to murder Jews in concentration camps. The kids and healthy were obliged to work on campus until they died, others were killed immediately in gas chambers. 6 million Jewish people were killed, along with about 5 million others who didn't fit in Hitler’s idea of a perfect Aruan society (people who opposed the Nazis, etc.)

  • D'day

On June 6, 1944, Allied forces landed, but not at Calais. Paratroopers and Amphibious troops, arrived in Normandy in France. There were thousands of casualties, but the invasion was successful. Later on, on August 25, Paris was liberated. Other Western European nations soon joined. I like to imagine this event as the Oscar nominated movie DUNKIRK. (It helps)

  • Atomic Bomb

On August 6, 1945, an American B-29 bomber dropped the world’s first deployed atomic bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The explosion immediately killed an estimated 80,000 people; tens of thousands more would later die of radiation exposure.
