Executive Order 9066
They sent all the japanese in america from the western coast to camps were they would have to stay till the end of the war. They could work they could have there own little farm or garden so they can plant crops and grow other things. This camps were like little towns but with more rules. Other raises were sent to like italin and german were also targeted for these camps too. -
The bataan march
The japanese took filipino and american prisornors of war. !0,000 men died before reaching the camp they were marching to. The march went from mariveles Bataan to San Fernando Pampanga. -
d-day
the battle happend on normady beach1944 June 6th. The general that was incharge was Dwight D. Eisenhower. It lasted from june to august. 156,000 American, British, Canadian forces landed on 5 beaches in a 50 mile stretch. -
Auschwitz liberation
The red army liberised auschwitz. when the men entered the camp there was 7,000 surivors and a little over 600 corpse. There was 6 storehouse with over 5,000 womens dress and mens suits and shoes the germans couldnt burn. -
Raising the flag on Mount Suribachi
this happend in the battle of iwo jima. There were 6 men holding up the flag. one of the men was a native american. during the fight 3 men died and 3 men survied these men were sent home to sell war bonds since they were war heros. -
bombing of hiroshima
The nuke they used was called little boy. It happend on aug 6th 1945. it killed about 166,000 hiroshiman people and 60,000-80,000 Nagasaki. 60% died from flash, 30% died from falling debris and 10% from other causes.
