    The Espionage and Sedition Act banned speaking out or printing anything against the war or government. This violated the 1st amendment, stating freedom of speech. The Schenck vs. U.S. court case revolved around a socialist named Charles Schenck distributed anti-war materials in the mail. The supreme court found him guilty of posing a clear and present danger during wartime.

    The disease caused people to experience a fever, nausea, aches, and diarrhea. Many people developed severe pneumonia. Dark spots appeared on the cheeks and patients would turn blue from lack of oxygen due to a bloody, frothy substance in lungs. There have been a reported 20 to 50 million number of deaths.

    A peace treaty negotiated by Great Britain, France, America, and Italy that officially ended the Great War. Germany was forced to accept full blame for the war, give up all of its colonies, maitain a minimal miliatary, and pay $33 billion in reparations.
