Akbar recaptures Delhi
Akbar's army, led by Bairam Khan, met the larger forces of Hemu on November 5, 1556 . The battle was going in Hemu's favour when an arrow pierced Hemu's eye, rendering him unconscious. The leaderless army soon capitulated and Hemu was captured and executed. -
