    Birth

    Birth
    He was born in Andijan as the eldest son of Omar Sheykh Mirzā and Abu Sa id Mirza. Babur was a direct descendant of Timur through his father, and also a descendant of Genghis Khan through his mother. These things combined meant he was destined for greatness.

    Inherited his Kingdom

    Inherited his Kingdom
    At the young age of eleven Babur inherited his kingdom that was surrounded by enemies. Even though the kingdom was surrounded by Babur’s family ruling in all directions they wanted the young Mughal to be dethroned to take over the land. Also to make matters worse that June Sultan Ahmad envaded his kingdom, Farghana. That didn’t matter though because he was able to hold out and defeat Ahmad in June of 1495.

    While Babur was seizing Uzbek his uncle that had been trying to dislodge him from his titile took control of Farghana. Then while he was marching back to defend Farghana he lost control of Uzbek. Even with that though it was not long before he regain control of both.

    Babur's Rulings of Samarkand
    Baburs first ruling of Samarkand came in 149. He had three rulings of Samarkand all of which were short last becasue he was not liked and was outcasted. His first one was only 100 days long.

    Babur's fight towards Kabul

    In 1501 Babur realized it was time for him to expand and find a safer place to rule from. Since his uncle had passed in Kabul he knew there had been power struggles, so he decided to set out for Kabul. For some reason Shaiban's troops helped Babur and afterwards realized if they stayed with Babur they had a better chance at success. Then after a breif fight outside the city and a siege that only lasted ten days Babur was once again an independent ruler.

    Battle of Ghaj-davan
    This battle was against the Uzbek. After losing this battle he lost pretty much all hope of regaining control of his homeland of Samarkand. Eventhough Babur was defeated he was able to escape through the reguard.

    Conquest of Hindustan
    In the beginning of November Babur went out on his fifth expedition to conquer Hindustan. Along the way he would have to over come armies over twice the size of his own. He would also have to overcome the discontent that was growing in his army. Despite this things he still would complete his goal in 1526.

    Battle of Paniput

    Battle of Paniput
    This was one of Babur's greatest victories because he overcame great odds. He only had 12,000 men compared to Ibrahim's 100,000 men and 1,000 elephants. He overcame this odds threw the use of his stategy and the fact that ibrahim did not want a battle so for the first few days they fought from a distance.

    Battles with the Rajputs
    After Babur won the Battle of Paniput he was named emporer of Dehli and Agra. The Raijputs thought this would be a good oppurtunity to try and take control of Dehli since there was dissent in Babur's army. Despite this Babur was still optomistic about defeating the Raijputs.

    Death

    Death
    Babur died after falling very ill. While he was ill it is said that his noble’s plotted against him to bypass his son, Humayun, and take the thrown. His sister’s husband rushed to inform babur of this news; only to find him healthy again. After this, though his son, Humayun, became ill. Once Babur found this out he circled the bed pleading with god to take him instead of his son. After that happened his son became better but he fell ill again.
