A german offensive attack was launched in the Ardennes Mountains on the Western Front. The allies had lost a lot of soldiers but eventually they got supplies to help them. The german forces ran out of manpower, ammunition, and supplies so they had to retreat.

On January 27th, allied forces arrived at Auschwitz. Most of the prisoners had been evacuated and sent on death march. The remaining prisoners were set free.
