  • Japanese Invasion of China

    In July of 1937 Japan claimed Chinese troops fired on them at the Marco Polo Bridge near Beijing. Japan used this as an excuse to launch a full invasion on China using the conquered Manchuna as a launch base for their troops. November 1931, China's most important part Shanghai, fell and Nanjing, Chiang Kai-shek's capital fell in December that year. In "Rape of Nanking" senior officers allowed Japanese army to ransack Nanking murdering tens of thousands. total death toll for Nanking was 250,000.
