    Feudalism

Feudalism marks an interesting point in history. The key idea of Feudalism was that the monarch rules all and certain categories of class were installed such as lord, peasant, and monarch. However what's interesting about this structure was that it was very fragile and often changed.
  • Period: 1299 to

    Ottoman Empire

Throughout two centuries the Ottoman Empire was a prime example of strength and political power. An interesting fact about the Ottoman Empire is that Europe often felt threatened by the Ottomans. However the Ottoman Empire would eventually fall.
  • Code of Hammurabi

The Code of Hammurabi marks the first recorded source of completely written legal codes. These were made during the ancient time period. These are interesting because many societies likely started using written codes in inspiration of these codes.
  • End of the War to End all Wars

The end of the Great War marked a significant victory over the tyranny of germany. However it is interesting because the victory would set off a chain of events that would eventually cave into the beginning of the second world war and Hitler's destruction of the Jewish population in blame for the economic downfall of germany after the treaty of versailles and the loss of the great war
  • The Holocaust's beginning

The beginning of the holocaust is a very interesting subject simply because of the magnitude of the domino effect this event created. Wars and death were bundled into bulk and effected masses of all populations. This is interesting personally because I find the domino effect the beginning of the holocaust created to be very impactful.
  • Red Scare

The red scare was a period of the cold war in which many civilians and members of the government grew paranoid of the incoming communists and would often turn on each over in accusations of who and who wasn't a communist. This would mark a period of distrust between the government and the people as well as divide the nation. I find this interesting because it shows how fragile our political structure can amast to.
  • End of the Second World War

After the devastating events of the holocaust and the fighting of the second world war many societies would have to rebuild what was destroyed. The second world war was a devastating blow globally and showed that the great war was not in fact the war to end all wars. This intrigues me because it shows that humanity must learn from history otherwise we will be doomed to repeat it.
  • Cuban Missile Crisis

The Cuban Missile Crisis is a very interesting subject of the Cold War because of its intensity. The thought that everything could and still can be destroyed overnight is simply terrifying. This event proves that we may never achieve true peace with nuclear weapons.
  • JFK Assasination

I find the JFK assassination to be a very controversial subject and that comes with a lot of speculation. Many people have considered conspiracies over his death and question why. However it is interesting to me simply because of the magnitude of the event and what took place.
  • End of Vietnam

The end of Vietnam marked a pivotal point in U.S history, attempting to pry vietnam from the hands of communists there more than 3 million deaths. This war was very controversial and led to many protests against the U.S government for its involvement in the war. This is very interesting to me because even patriots would stand against the needless war.
  • Tank Man

The events that happened in China when Tank Man stood in front of multiple tanks are a display of how you can only censor people so far before they fight back. It shows that a brief display of courage can change an entire battle no matter how large the effect. This intrigues me because of how one man was able to stall an army.
  • 9/11

9/11 marked a crucial year for the United States. On September 11th 2001 at 9am a plane hijacked by Al Queda terrorists would fly into the World Trade Center in New York City. After the tragedy was over and the panic was vanished many Americans would come together and unite under the banner of the United States. This would prove a point that America can come together in a time of crisis to stand against those who wish us harm.
