    Maria was a child prodigy an Italian linguist and a math wizard. She is also a renowned personality in the field of mathematics. She determined the equation of a peculiar curve, which came to be known as the 'Witch of Agnesi'.

    Sophie Germain
    Any sort of brainwork in her time was unhealthy for a woman. Initially she worked on number theories, but later on in her studies she helped people understand prime numbers. She was the first woman to undergo many things in science, math, and many other subjects.
  • Sofia Kovalevskaya

    Sofia Kovalevskaya
    She was the first female Russian mathmetician. She opposed her elders to pursue higher studies. She is known for researching differential equations known as 'Kovalevskaya Top'.

    She became one of the first women to earn a doctorate in mathematics in england. She has been credited with improving womens role in the field of mathematics.
  • Charlotte Elvira Pengra

    Charlotte recieved her A.B. in mathematics at the University of Wisconsin in 1897. Then in 1901 she was the first woman to earn a Ph.D from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also did a great deal of studying on coordinate planes and graphs.

    Amalie was a mathematician who is known for her revolutionary work in many fields. Her works includes alot of work on abstract algebra and theoretical physics. She also proposed 'Noethers Theorum'.
  • Anna Stafford Henriques

    Anna was one of the first women to join the School of Mathematics in princeton. She went there to advance in her study of math. She also teached at a school in Mendham, N.J..
  • Hanna Neumann

    After graduating Hanna took a teaching position in England. She taught algebra and geometry for many years. She became the head of the Department of Pure Mathematics in the National University's School of General Studies.
  • Olga Arsen'evna Oleinik

    After finishing high school in 1942, she enrolled in the Physics and Mathematics department at Perm University. She later graduated from the Mathematics Department of Moscow University. Her main research was on Algebraic Geometry.
  • Verdiana Grace Masanja

    She was the first woman from Tanzania to receive a Ph.D. in mathematics. She went on to earn a degree at the University of Dar es Salaam. She also earned a masters degree there.
