He was born in Austria, in the town of Salzburg, in Austria. He was the son of Leopold Mozart and Anna Maria. He had one sister, called Maria Anna Mozart.

At the age of 3 Mozart could play the harpsichord and compose little parts of music. His father soon knew he had a brilliant son.

With 5 years he started composing songs, and his fist piece of music. He seemed to have music in his head. He could pick up a violin and play it, without learn it.

His father and he went on a tour in Europe.They went to France, then to England. Mozart played for the King George III. In London he met Johann Christian Bach, he learned a lot.

Mozart did a lot of travelling. His father took him to Italy, and there he saw opera for the first time. At the age of 12, he wrote his first opera.

Mozart astonished everyone. He could sit in a church, listen to the music and singing, go home, and then write all the notes from memory.

Mozart played a piano for the first time in 1777. Pianos were replacing old keyboard instruments, like the harpsichord.

Mozart gave piano lessons, but was always poor. In 1777 his mother went with him to Germany hoping he get a job as a court musician. Rich princes had their own orchestras.

In Germany, he fell in love with a singer, Aloysia Weber.

He went back to France. Where his mother became ill. She died in the summer of 1778. Mozart went back to Austria.

Back in Salzburg, the old archbishop died. The new archbishop gave Mozart a job, but Mozart didnt like the archbishop, so he left the job.

He went back to Germany. Aloysia Weber had decided to marry with other man. In 1782, Mozart married Aloysia's sister Constanze. She was a singer too.

They were happy Constanze and him, but they were poor. They had six children. But four died as babies. Two sons grew up, and were good musicians,not as good like their father

In 1789 Mozart composed Don Giovanni's opera's music. He based the opera in the myth of Don Juan. Don Giovanni is a young person who's arrogant, sexualist promiscuous who insults and get angry other characters until the end, when he find something it can kill, hit, or insult him.

Its an opera that tries to find the truth and the wisdom. A prince who finds the love of his darling.

Mozart was working on a piece of funeral music, called a Requiem. In the summer of 1791, he became ill. He died in December 1791. The great composer was so poor he was buried with other poor people in a 'paupers' grave'. No stone marked it.
