  • Homer Stryker

    Homer Stryker
    After graduating from Western Michigan in 1916, Homer Stryker went on to get his doctorate of medicine from the University of Michigan. While working as an orthopedic surgeon at Borgess Hospital, Stryker created medical devices that soon became the preferred choice of medical devices of many throughout the nation.   • Gerrard W. Haworth

    Gerrard W. Haworth
    Gerrard W. Haworth graduated in 1937 with a degree in Industrial Arts from WMU. While working as a full time teacher, Haworth made furniture in his free time.   • John Saunders

    John Saunders
    Playing as number six for the WMU Men's Ice Hockey Page was John Saunders in 1976. After college, Saunders became the host of ESPN's "The Sports Reporters." He continued to do work with ESPN, including the NFL Primetime in 1987 and SportsCenter in 2008. In August of 2016, the world was saddened to find out that Saunders had died.     Tim Allen
    In 1975, Tim Allen graduated with a degree in Television Production from Western Michigan University. He took up comedy as a dare from friends which lead to him creating his hit show "Home Improvement." Photo source: mlive.com
  • Terry Crews

    Terry Crews
    Terry Crews played football for the WMU Broncos and graduated in 1991. After graduation, Crews played in the NFL for the Los Angeles Rams, San Diego Chargers, Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles, before retiring from the NFL in 1997. He took up an acting career and has been in "Everybody Hates Chris," "White Chicks" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" to name a few. Photo source: WMU Football page.

    LZ Granderson
    In 1996, LZ Granderson graduated from WMU with a degree in Interpersonal Communication. He started off writing for the Grand Rapids Press before moving to CNN to write a weekly column. Granderson eventually become a senior writer for ESPN. Photo source: mlive.com.
  • Greg Jennings

    Greg Jennings
    After graduating with a degree in Communication from WMU, Jennings was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round of the NFL Draft in 2006. While Jennings played for the Packers the team won SuperBowl XLV against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also played for the Minnesota Vikings and the Miami Dolphins before retiring in 2015.     Corey Davis
    Corey Davis is the most recent NFL player from WMU. He graduated in 2016 with a degree in Special Education. Right after graduation Davis was drafted fifth overall by the Tennessee Titans in the 2017 NFL Draft. Photo Source: WMU Football Page.
