    At the age of 26 Churchill first book was published.In 1895 he began to observe the 4th queens Own Hussars under the pen name " Winston S. Churchill". As a member of this group Churchill observed world events such as the Cuban War of Independence, The siege of Malakand, and the second Boer War.     Churchill was prime minister of great Britain from 1940 to 1945. During his first term as prime minister he led his country through World War II to the surrender of Germany. He tries to convey the message that the people of Germany are trapped under an iron curtain and can't escape.     In America 1789 the 22nd amendment was ratified. The amendment states that the president can not be in office for more than two terms. This event is important to history because it limits the amount of power the president has.     Throughout his life Churchill enjoyed writing. He enjoyed talking about his experiences or what was occurring. Although he was nominated for five Nobel prizes for his literature he only won for one of his pieces of work. His winning piece of Literature was a six volume set of "The 2nd World War." (Humes)

    At the age of 91 Winston Churchill dies in Kensington England.He had suffered stroke a few days earlier but did not have enough strength to recover. His death was the 71st anniversary of his father Lord Randolph Churchill's death.(Lion of Britain)
