Winston Churchill was born on November 30th, 1874 at Belheim Palace. He was born to his two parents, Lord Randolf Spencer-Churchill and Former Jenine Jeromre of New York. Graham Belle created the telephone. This was important because it created the start of more advanced technology. The Klondike gold rush began between 1896 to 1899. It was the migration of people to the Klondike region. During the migration miners discovered gold. This triggered many people to explore the land in order to find gold. Winston loses his first election for the house of commons. However, later on in October of 1900 Churchill is elected to be a part of House of Commons as a Conservative. After a fall-out in his party, Churchill changes to the Liberal Party four years later (Epstein 168) (softschools.com). -

The Wright brothers first flight was taken in 1903. This was the first successful flight ever. This revolutionized transportation and made traveling farther an easier task. Although their airplane only took flight once, that flight affected the rest of history possibly (nps.gov). -
Churchill becomes Lord of Admiralty
Churchill was appointed First Lord of Admiralty in the year 1911. This was significant because he studied the naval progresses, and maneuvers for the British armies. This allowed England's armies and navy to anticipate any attacks from other countries (Epstein 169). -
Sinking of Titanic
The Titanic sinks in 1912. This indestructible ship struck an undercover iceberg, which was not spotted in time for the ship to change directions. This caused major damage to the boat allowing water inside, causing it to sink. This event is important to history because is showed the capability of engineering, and revealed flaws in ship (History.com) -
Hindenburg disaster
The Hindenburg disaster occurred on May 6th 1937. During the Hindenburg disaster a German passenger airship caught fire while attempting to port. The death toll reached 36 following the tragic event. This was significant because it embarrassed the Nazis because they were boasting about their engineering skills but it failed. Churchill becomes prime minister of England
Before Germany invaded France in World War II Neville Chamberlain resigned as prime minister and Churchill took over his position. This affected the history of the United States of America because when he became prime minister, his army and navy became stronger as well, with the education he received. He also affected government by fighting Hitler and tried to defend democracy in England during the Holocaust (Softschools.com)(Epstein 170). -
Churchill attends the Yalta Conference
After the defeat of Germany in World War II Churchill joined Joseph Stalin and President Roosevelt at the Yalta conference. This conference was significant because during this conference Churchill created a long lasting relationship with Roosevelt. Churchill recites his "Iron Curtain" speech
This iconic speech was given by Winston Churchill to Missouri students. In this speech, he condemns the soviet policies in Europe. Churchill coined the term "Iron Curtain" which eventually became part of political vocabulary. The Iron curtain was a metaphor for Joseph Stalin's plan to spread communism across Europe. Churchill retires as prime minister of Engand
Churchill decided to retire as prime minister after his second stroke. His stroke left him with difficulties when it came to speaking and walking. The year after he retired from his duties as prime minister he suffered from another mild stroke. This negatively affected England because the nation lost a wise and strong prime minister with a rich background in armies and navies along with his extensive opinions on democracy. Winston Churchill dies at the age of 90
Winston Churchill died at the age of 90 on January 24th 1965. Two week after Churchill's final stroke, he died in his home in London. Churchill's funeral was the largest in the state in world history. Many representatives from all over the world and more, specifically 112 countries, attended his funeral.
