    Adolph Hitler formed the Nazi Party which he promised to make Germany great again after the loss in World War l. Hitler was such a persuasive speaker that people believed him creating the Nazis. During the Holocaust the Nazis tried to wipe out all Jews and other minorities. They took Jews and put them in Concentration Camps where they starved them and overworked them and also killed them.     The U.S. had managed to stay out of the war, until at about 8 am December 7th 1941 a day that would go down in infamy. The Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor destroying 20 ships and over 200 planes. Over 2,000 soilders died that day and over a thousand were injuried.     Germany surrendered the war on May 8th 1945 signaling the end of the war, but U.S.A was still fighting with Japan. On August 6th 1945 President Harry Truman had to order the dropping of the atomic bomb on Japan to end World War ll.     During World War ll America and Russia had been allies, but it was a tense relationship. Russia was angry at the U.S. for entering the war later which cost many Russian lives and America had been wary of Joseph Stalin's blood thirsty communist rule.     On June 25th, 1950 communist North Korea invaded non-communist South Korea. This was one of the two hot spots in the Cold War. The United States and other non-communist countries supported South Korea and communist China supported North Korea.     The Vietnam war was one of the actual wars that was fought during the cold war. Many people died during this war mostly Vietnamnese civilans.     The Cold War ended in 1991 when the communist rule in Soviet Union collapsed. In 1989 most of Eastern Europe rejected communism, but communism didn't end until the Soviet Union citizens demanded a new system.
