    Jewish history begins with the covenant established between God and Abraham. Abraham is considered as the father of the family of Jews. Moses, is also an important figure as he gave the Jews the Torah around 1250 B.C. The Torah contains the laws of God.

    Moses received the ten commandments written by the finger of god. God told Moses that the 10 commandments are very important and that everyone should follow them. But if you mess something up, just ask for forgiveness.

    Moses told his people that they all need to leave as fast as they can. They had to leave so no one had to see anymore of their people die. Their people being killed was tragic and a terrible fright.

    Torah is written
    All of the teachings found in the Torah, both written and oral, were given by God through the prophet Moses. All the teaching were written by Moses. This resulted in the Torah that exists today.

    Jesus was born in Bethlehem in the time of Herod the Great. Gabriel told the Jewish woman, Mary, she would give birth to Jesus. And that Jesus would save the people from their sins.

    Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Christianity spread to all of Europe in the Middle Ages. Christianity started spreading out all over the world. There are about 2 billion Christians to this day.

    The Romans destroyed the temple in Jerusalem. Gessius Florus sent troops in to Jerusalem and massacred 3,600 citizens.His action touched off an explosive rebellion known as The First Jewish Revolt.

    The Roman Empire declared that everyone should be Christian. Theodosis allowed pagans to worship in peace at times. Many churches were built all across the Roman Empire.

    The archangel Gabriel visited Muhammad to reveal to him the beginnings that later became the Holy Quran. This took place in a cave called Hira on a mountain called Jabal an-Nour, near Makka. Gabriel commands him to read certain lines of the Quran.

    The Sunni, Shia conflict was 1,400 years in the making. There was lots of debate on who would hold the title after Muhammad's death. Sunni's are focused on the power of God, and Shia's are looking forward to the afterlife.
