    magna carta

    it is a royal charter of rights that was agreed to by king john. It was made to stop the kings abuse. The king agreed because he was scared he would lose his throne if he did not abide. Then pope innocent lll voided it which led to violence and eventually the kings death. After the kings death the manga carta was put back into play.

  • mayflower compact

    it was originally titled (Agreement between the settlers of new Plymouth. It was signed by men and two indentured servants. it was the first governing document of the Plymouth colony. most laws related to loyalty to the king and to create a good society and work together to keep it going.

    stated the powers and restrictions of the government. was created because the framework of the government needed to be written and approved by the people. formed a confederation under the guidance of god.
