    Nelson and Winthrop Rockefeller were the grandsons of John D. Rockefeller, the oil tycoon. In 1953, the Republican President Dwight D. Eisenhower appointed Nelson as chair of the Presiden's Advisory Committee on Government Organization. He served as a Governor of New York from 1959 through 1973. He was the 41st VP of the U.S. from December 19, 1974 to January 20, 1977. IN 1953, Winthrop Rockefeller moved from Florida and New York to Arkansas. He became Governor of Arkansas in 1966 and was said to be a great influence on future Arkansas Governor and U.S. President Bill Clinton. Winthrop was probably the Rockefeller that Billy Joel was referring to, since his playboy antics were more in the news than things that Nelson was doing. Nelson and Winthrop Rockefeller were the only brothers in U.S. history to serce as governors at the same time until the late 1990s.

    Arturo Toscanini was a world-famous conductor.. He was consider to be on elf the greatest classical conductors. On April, 4 1954,  he was conducting a radio broadcast on NBC Symphony at the Carnegie Hall in New York, he suffered a memory laps during his performance. This was the last time he ever conducted in public. He died at the age of 89 in 1957.

In 1955, he was overthrown by a military coup, and in 1973 he soon returned to power, but shortly died in 1974.

Cohn and McCarthy were both involved in a scandal that discredited the secretary of the army, Robert Stevens. Cohn was a rumored homosexual, his partner known as David Schine.
