    Ancient Egypt

    Sand Filteration was a mix of coarse gravel and sand, people would pour boiled water into the mixture. This was an excellent way to get dirt and bacteria stuck in the mixture. Ofcourse it wasnt 100% clean.

    Cloth Method

    The Ancient Greece people invented the way of seperating water from dirt with a simple piece of cloth. This would make the water look better but didnt catch all the bad bacteria and germs.
  • 400 BCE

    Sieving Vessels

    In Ancient Egypt they thought of an idea to seperate solids from Liquads. They got bushes and plants and put them in a clay jar they then would pour the water in. This would capture the dirt and rocks, this was called sieving vessels. It isnt safe to drink but that was all they had back then.

    Indian Method

    The Indians simply Boiled the water to make it more pure, back then they did not notice that all the bacteria had not gone. They cared if it tasted and looked better, boiling water was still a good way to get rid of bacteria.
  • Reverse Osmosis

    This invention seperated see water to clean drinking water.
    The inventor was named Jean-Antoine Nollet.
  • Life Straw

    This invention was launched it 2006 so it wasnt long ago, but it helped alot of people desperate for clean water. These straws which magially turned dirty water into pure water. Most of their starws went to people in central africa. The water didnt turn 100% pure but was close.
