    Many women volunterred to take care of the soldiers who were wounded in this bloody battle. There were about four thousand soldiers to tend for, in which 300 were found by Cara Barton.
  • Battle of Gettysburg

    Although there was no deaths of women soldiers, there was Jennie Wade was killed when she was baking in a home near the battle by a stray bullet. There were also many pro-savery women from Baltimore, who helped wounded Confederate soldiers.

    Cashier, a woman soldier, participated in this battle. She participated in about 40 total.
