On January 22, British forces, after winning the battle, took uninjured prisoners, marching them to Ford Malden.
The day after, January 23, Native Americans took anyone who could walk, killing escapees and those who attempted to escape, as well as burning down the houses the injured were housed in, killing the injured who were not as well.
They marched the prisoners to Fort Malden as well, killing those who could not keep up. -
