He wasn't in any major battles but that doesn't mean he had an important job, As a surgical tech he assisted with sick call duties, but was mostly in charge of army transports. This meant that without him the transports wouldn't be able to get to where they go.

When the war was over, he received an Honorable Discharge, a good conduct medal, The Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, the American Theater Service Medal, The Philippine Liberation Medal with two Bronze Stars, and the Victory Medal.

When the war ended he went home, where was eventually married on February 22, 1989. Retired in 1989, He worked on his family farm after his Discharge from the military.
