French and Indian
The French & Indian War happened on 1754 to 1763. (The Seven Years War) The British was warred against the French and Indians. This war began because both the French and British want control over ohio. the effect was that britain became in debt and the procalmation of 1763 was created. -
Proclamation of 1763
it ended the french and indian war. it was made becuse britain wanted to stop iWestward expansion. The cause of this was that the British were in debt. The effect of the proclamation of 1763 was that the colonist continued to move west anyway. -
Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was passed by the British Parliament on March 22, 1765. The new tax was imposed on all American colonists and required them to pay a tax on every piece of legal documents. The reason why the stamp act came about was because great britin was in debt. the effct was that the colonists boycott everything. -
Townshead Act
Townshend ActsTaxes on glass, paint, oil and paper. This started another revolution, like the Stamp Act. the caused was that British still needed money, and wanted to tax the colinist. The effect was that the colonist boycotted all taxed goods. -
Boston Tea Party
The Sons of Liberty dreesed up as natives amercians and dump a million dollar worth of Tea in the boston harbar.the reason they did was because they didnt want to pay txes on it. The effect was the intolerable act . -
Tea Act
the Tea Act OF 1773 was an act of the parliament of great britain. americaan colonists could buy no tea unless it ccame from the company. the cause of the Tea Act was that britain wanted to sell the tea directly to the colonists so that it would be less smuggling. the effect was colonists disguised as indians and snaked onto the ships, dumping 340 chest of tea into the boston harbor. -
The intolerable Act
The Intolerable Acts are the Quartering Act, Boston Port Bill, Administration of Justice Act, Coercive Act, Massachusetts Government Act, and the Quebec Act. The colonist had to house and feed soldiers and if they refuse their house is taken. Boston harbor was closed, they also gave the Ohio River Valley to Canada. -
1st continental congress
The 1st continental congress was a meeting of men from twelve of the thirteen colonies that met to talk about their problems with britain, In 1774 they made the 1st continental congress because they was not happy with the intorlantble act. The main effect was the Declaration of Independence. -
battle of lexington and concord
The British troops were ordered to proceed to Concord to seize arms and ammunition that were being stockpiled there by the colonists. cause the coloists was gtting mad they started to build an army. the effect was that the Minutemen had successfully defended their weapons. -
Battle of bunker hill
On June 17, 1775, early in the Revolutionary War (1775-83), the British defeated the Americans at the Battle of Bunker Hill in Massachusetts. Despite the loss and significant casualties against the enemy. the battle provided them with an important confidence boost. -
Battle of Trenton
eneral George Washington decided to attach Trenton, New Jersey. Trenton was under control by German mercenaries called Hessians. On December 25th Washington and his men crossed the Delaware River in a snowstorm. His men were poorly dressed and many did not have shoes. -

the singificant thing about the battle of saratoga is that the american victory in those battle led the french. it led them to fully enter the war o nthe american side . Valley Forge
Valley forge was a winters that has taken place during the revolutionary war. The troops were more diciplined, and stronger. Valley forge was a millitary camp in Pennsylvania during the war. An effecct of Valley Forge were that small pox were spreading. This would spread and effect many more people, but they later found a cure for small pox. George Washington was important in this event because he was the general, and tried his best to keep everyone together and alive. -
Articles of Confederation
The Articles of Confederation was were the Continental Congress was adopted and made the first constitution of the United States. It had many strengths, along with some weaknesses. Some of the strensths were that they could declare , and also make peace. They could even borrow money if they needed to. These were benefits that helped tremendously. Some weaknesses or drawbacks were that they could not force states to obey laws, and that they did not have the Power to tax. It ended on 1789. -
battle yorktown
The Battle of Yorktown was important because it triggered the point of final surrender for British forces. Two important people were the George Washington, who was the general, and was commanding French and continenetal troops against general Lord Charles Cornwallis of the British troops.The battle was the last major conflict during the American Revolution. the Americans won the British loss. -

The Treaty of Paris was singificcant because it ended the Revolutionary War, With the Americans coming out on top. Also great Britain recongrized america for there indpendent. the imporatnant people was Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and John Jay because they signed the treaty of paris. -
Shays rebellion
Shays rebellion started because the American Farmers were been over taxed from state and local enforcements. Farmers were threatened that their farms would be taken away. The name "Shays Rebellion came from a continental army captain, Daniel Shays. The Articles of Confederation did not work, as the rebelliok proved that America needed a stronger federal government, as the federal government did very little about the situation. The federal government was weak. -
Great compromise
the great conpromise was important because it brought two different views between states, and combined them. The two views were the New Jersey plan, and the Virginia plan. The new jersey plan wanted equal representation. On the other hand Virginia wanted representation based on population. Both plans won , as they were brought together to create a bicameral government. -
Constitutional convention
The convention lasted from May 25- September 17 of 1787. It was the coming together of state represenatives to revise the articles of confederation. It turned out to be different. James Madison and Alexander Hamilton decided to create a new one. This was to create a stronger federal government. This did happen with the bicameral system. The bicameral legislative was a conurbation of the Virginia plan and the new jersey plan. -
3/5 Compromise
It was where 3/5 of a slave was counted as a citizen. It was used to make a larger population, therefore you will get more representation. The south wanted this, where as the north didn't. The south wanted it because they owned more slaves than the north. The south won because slaves wore now worth 3/5 of an citizen instead of property.
