Vince Lombardi was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was born to an Italian immigrant and was raised in a strict Catholic household.

At St. Cecilia High School, Vince took on a teaching and coaching job. He coached football and basketball at the time. He must have been a great FIRGUREHEAD in front of the parents. He must have performed cerimonies for the Senior s at their last game for the school and parents. This shows his skill as a figurehead.

Around 1950, Vince became the assistant coach for the New York Giants.

With Vince as the assistant coach, the New York Giants had five years of winning seasons in a row. Vince had to have to have had been a good LEADER to have led them very well. His role must have called for him to be a leader and he did so.

In 1956, Vince, along with the head coach, Jim Lee Howell, led the Giants to victory. Vince must have been a good ORGANIZER and made sure that specific plays were played at the right time. He must have had all the plays ready to go and organized, just as a leader should. This organization led the Giants to the Champianship victory.

Vince Lombardi was offered a head coaching position with a five year contract with the Green Bay Packers, which he greatfully accepted. This is an example of his great NEGOTIATING skills. He was able to negotiate a contract with the Packers and was able to have a great five year contract.

When Vince started to work with the Packers, he knew that he needed some strong players to the team. That is why he chose Hornung and Starr. These two players became a strong edition to the group. This shows Vince's ability to STAFF the team with exceptional players. He knew that these men would be good, and was he ever right.

That summer, Vince trained the Packers to a pulp. He made sire each player gave 110% effort and demaded the utermost dedication. This shows his TECHNICAL SKILLS on the field. He had to know how to play the sport to be able to train the men effectivley.

Before and during training, Vince broke down the old play list and created a new one. This list involved numbers rather plays that the players had to memorize. It was much easier for the players to remember plays for numerous seasons. This shows Vince's CONCEPTIONAL SKILLS. He took a large problem and broke it down till he got his flawless play system.

Also during training and throughout the season, the Packers learned to respect and admire Vince. He had impressive HUMAN RELATION SKILLS. Though tough, he could relate to the players and teach them his way in teaching. He could certainly connect with the players, thus the team could work with his harsh curfews.

When Vince was asked his opnion on the racial barrier in the NFL, he conveyed that he "... viewed his players as neither black nor white, but Packer green". That line shows his skill as a SPOKESPERSON. He was able to convey his opinion as well as the opinion of Jack Vainisi, who was the Scouting Director for the Packers, to the public..

In 1960, Vince led the Packers to a Championship win against the Giants. This was the first Champainship win since 1944. Vince must have been good at LEADING through the training and the previous two years of coaching. After the campianship lose in 1960 against the Eagles, Vince must have motivated, communicated, and guided the team very well that year.

After a two years absence, the Packers came back and won the Chapionship against the Cleveland Browns. It had been two years, after all. He monitered the Packers. He was also able to get the information and knowledge (aka MONITERING) to get the Packers back on their feet again and win the Championship. Plus, he must havebeen a good disturbance handler if he got the Packers back after two years of absence. He saw the crisis of a team that had been gone for a while and then solved it.

With Vince leading the way, the Packers accumulated a win at the first Super Bowl ever. At the Super Bowl, the Packers won 35-10 against the AFL Kansas City Chiefs.He must have been a very CONTROLLING leader for this to happen. He had to make sure each player was always playing at 110% to make sure they would be ready for such a huge game, If they were not, he needed to control the situation so that the team could be successful.

Again, the Packers won the Super Bowl, this time against the Oakland Raiders. Vince must have PLANNED ahead for this. After winning the previous Bowl, he must have known that the next year would not be easier. He planned ahead with new plays and training techniques to be prepared for the season. This way he and the Packers could win again.

In 1969, Vince decided to come out of retirement and got a position as head coach of the Washington Redskins. He was a great DISSEMINATOR, which means he could convey information to his players. He taught the players wel, seeing that the Redskins had one of the best seasons they ever had with Vince.

In June, 1970, Vince was diagnosed with a deadly case of colan cancer. Ten weeks later, Vince passed away at the age of 57. After his death, he was admitted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He was also honored by having the Super Bowl Trophy named after him. He must have been an acceptional ENTREPRENEUR. He started new training programs for various teams, improving them and making them legendary.
