Vietnamization

War Powers Act
The act made it so that the president must inform Congress within 48 hours of sending troops to a hostile area without declaring war. They may stay for 90 days unless Congress approves of the presidents actions or declares war. -
The Fall of Saigon
A cease fire had been in effect since January of 1973, but in late April of 1975, North Vietnamese troops attacked and captured the Southern capital Saigon.
