On this date, the U.S. invaded Cambodia to cut of Vietcong's supply lines. Cambodia was a mostly neutral country so the America public hated this move. -
Kent State Shooting
At Kent State University, students were holding a protest when the National Guard was called in. The guards felt like the students were acting violent so they open fired into the crowd of students. 4 students were killed including two who were just walking to class. -
Fall of Saigon
This was the capture of the capitol of south Vietnam by the North. This marked the end of the Vietnam war.
