    It was a Buddhist holiday, when 8,000 Vietcong troops attacked every metropolitan center in South Vietnam.

    The U.S. would slowly withdraw troops because south Vietnamese people can defend better without the U.S. help. This did not help resolve the big problem and Protesters were still mad.
